Well now, we are moving forward on a build this week, but first, some AMAZING news!
You may have seen Jaleel Khamis at one of our launches, or in The Brickyard working on one of the boats, or even running the power washer on the Whaler restoration. Well, Jaleel, above, is headed to none other than the Mass Maritime Sea, Science and Leadership Program this summer!
It’s an amazing program – among a lot of fun stuff, he’s going to learn
- Emergency Management
- International Maritime Business
- Firefighting
- Ship Simulator
- Strengths and Materials
- LunchMarine Science Safety and Environmental Protection
- Cold Water Survival
…and then get an Admissions Counselor Meet and Greet at the end of the week. Read all about the program here – Sea Science and Leadership.
We’d like to think we had something to do with this, but likely our friends at Kayak and Sail Lynn can take a little more credit than we can… but still, HUGE CONGRATS to Jaleel, and we can’t wait to hear his stories of the week!
In the meantime, this coming week look for news of the First Annual Small Dog Icebreaker Boat Build! It’s gonna be a cold one, but we’re tough, and we’re going to give it our best shot!
That’s not to say we wouldn’t accept a nice warm garage to work in if offered… Got some space? It’s not too late to help us out.
Want to dive in and help? Wander on over to our Contact page and drop a line. We could use some teaching help, some woodworking help, and, well, just some hot chocolate help! That page is here.
We can always use some more financial support as well – drop a dime in the hat here: Donate.
Stay tuned – next time you hear from this there’ll be one more boat in the harbor!
